Nutrition Coaching

Get the support and guidance you need in order to feel more free with food WITHOUT losing your sanity

What would it be like to have freedom and peace with food?

And to see food as nurturing while also trusting your body to let you know what it needs.

Healing your relationship with food is hard! That’s why it’s so important to find the support and guidance that you need. Finally breaking free from diet after diet (or an eating disorder) will ultimately change your life for the better and it IS possible.

Imagine a world where you don’t base what you eat on calories or weight loss, but on what makes you feel good.

Hi, I’m Natalie

I am a dietitian coaching people to eat with permission using Ellyn Satter models.

My mission is to help people with their eating concerns and help parents feed their families so that eating feels authentic and safe.

Food and weight neutrality are at the core of my work as a result of working in the eating disorder recovery field. The freedom I felt after learning to trust myself with eating fueled my passion for helping others.  As a mom of 4 kids I know just how hard it is to raise them to trust their bodies to regulate eating in today’s diet-obsessed world.

I love to support what my clients are already doing well while shaping eating and feeding in a way that builds trust and is sustainable.

What you can expect

Freedom & Peace with food

The freedom to eat without feeling guilty.

Less anxiety around food

Releasing the grip that anxiety has had on you when it comes time for meals or snacks.

Trusting your body

Giving yourself permission to trust your body and listen to what it needs.

What my clients are saying

Working with Natalie has been an eye-opening and life-enhancing experience.

I was at a place in my eating disorder recovery where I knew I wanted more healing with my relationship with food but wasn’t sure how to get there.

I have never known what my hunger/fullness cues are, I have desperately wanted to feel comfortable around food, whether eating alone or with others but had no idea what my next step was to achieve those.

Natalie has been a constant, caring guide throughout the process.

What my clients are saying

Natalie has helped me learn new ways of speaking to myself about food and in turn, that helps me speak differently to the children in my life about food.

I refuse to be another voice in their heads saying “That is a bad food” or “If I eat, I will never stop eating.”

We were born knowing and trusting our hunger cues and I am committed to not only relearning mine, but to never being a part of someone ignoring their own cues.

Working with Natalie is helping me to not only relearn and retrust myself, but educating me so I can speak appropriately and helpfully to younger generations.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why should you work with me?

I have years of experience working with clients in recovery from all levels of eating disorder treatment. I understand the struggles that come along with feeding a family, eating disorders, disordered eating, chronic dieting, restriction, binge eating, emotional eating, or eating in a way that feels like overeating. I seek continuing education to maintain our degrees as a dietitian specifically around feeding and eating and we seek supervision when needed to best support you. I work on overall health and wellness as it relates to physical, social, spiritual, and mental health around eating habits. While weight is often a concern, we do not offer weight loss counseling but I will address your weight concerns from a weight-neutral place.

Do you take insurance?

I do accept insurance for my services as a contracted provider with Berry Street. However, if your insurance doesn’t cover our services, rest assured that a superbill will be provided as a receipt for your payment. This superbill can then be submitted to your insurance company for potential reimbursement.

How do you accept payment?

Online though the Berry Street platform.

Do you provide a meal plan?

I do not have a specific meal plan that tells you exactly what to eat, as that usually turns into another diet. I have a plan that provides structure and support as we work together to discover your needs. I see it as my job to guide you through eating that allows for your own autonomy.

How long do our sessions take and where do we meet?

We meet for an hour and a half assessment via a HIPAA-compliant zoom session. Follow-up appointments are usually an hour. I find that clients feel that online sessions are a convenient and comfortable way to meet.

What is weight neutrality?

I would describe this as not trying to control weight or to judge different body weights and body sizes. A person’s weight is their genetics along with the environment they are in, including how they were raised around food and eating and many more factors. Weight can be impacted by many things and the goal is to not judge or try to control the number on the scale.

What is food neutrality?

I would describe this as not placing foods into categories of good or bad. That all foods have a place in our eating habits. No one food is going to make you good or bad for eating it or save you from a disease or cause a disease.

What to expect when working with me

A plan that leaves you with a sense of:

-peace and freedom with food and eating

-satisfaction and feeling like you can sustain this way of eating

-confidently caring for yourself and your family with food and eating

-less anxiety
